A blank sheet of paper to write on about me, who I am, where I come from and especially why I'm here! Silvia, 37 years old,  I’m a Tuscan Doc (i.e. I was born in Tuscany) , cook, not professional but wine and food enthusiast. Lover of my country, Italy, especially of Tuscany, I was born in Leghorn, then moved to Maremma for love.

Graduated in foreign languages, mother of a beautiful boy 1 year old, translator and owner of an e-commerce of typical and authentic Tuscan and Italian products, attentive and enthusiastic traveler, reader and sportswoman, sister of Cecilia, which is a creative talent, photographer and my business partner!

With this blog I will take you in my kitchen, with dishes handed down from my grandmother to my mom, but then reworked by me because I never prepared a recipe as the time before, it's nice to try new one. I admit that I wrote down my recipes just for this blog, usually I prepare dishes "at a glance" not using kitchen scales or other measurement, but using only the taste and smell as well as a good dose of intuition! Some recipes are free interpretations drawn from many cookbooks, others are very simple inspiration of the moment.

You'll find reviews of restaurants, books, cooking tips, basic dough and then pictures and stories of my travels.

Born in 1977, graduated in business economics, competitive and sportswoman, graphic designer, marketing consultant and web designer.  I love my job which allows me to stimulate continuously my imagination and creativity.

I like traveling and photographing everything that surrounds me, it’s like to stop time  to never forget .

I love Tuscany, the region where I was born and Italy: the sea, the hills and the scent of all that is Mediterranean. I love to taste the fruits of this beautiful land, the place where we "eat and drink well" .

I was lucky enough not to be an only child and have an older sister with whom I have a very special relationship, Silvia, who pass me the passion for cooking, and it is the union of our attitudes and our interests that was born this blog and our e-commerce site.

  2. Ciao Cecilia and Silvia,
I love reading your blogs - they bring a ray of sunshine into our wet, cold autumn days. Your recipes are inspirational and your photos are beautiful. Most of all they remind me of our special friends in Marina di Pisa and Rosignano!
    Grazie
